New England Champion
Harvard needed only a top-eight finish at the New England Dinghy Championship to advance, but the Crimson topped the 18-school field to win its first New England coed dinghy title since 2001. Led by a first-place performance in the A division from Brendan Kopp and Sarah Pierson, Harvard got smooth sailing throughout and a strong finish to the regatta to defeat runner-up Roger Williams by nine points. Emily Lambert and Brian Drumm placed fifth in the B division.

Last Season
The Crimson sailed to a runner-up finish at the 2011 ICSA Eastern semi in Long Beach, Calif., to advance to the national regatta. Then-seniors Alan Palmer '11 and Quincy Bock '11 led the way with a second-place finish in the A division. Harvard went on to a third-place national finish, its second straight year in the ICSA top three.

All-New England
Harvard's A-division duo of Brendan Kopp and Sarah Pierson earned All-New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association honors. Kopp was a first-team skipper, and Pierson was a first-team crew.

On the Women's Side
The Crimson coed sailors are looking to join the women's squad at the national regatta. The Harvard women earned a trip to Austin with their seventh-place showing at the New England Women's Championship in April.
