Harvard Sailing Competes at BU Trophy and Ted Ferrarone Team Race

The Harvard sailing team competed at the BU Trophy this weekend, where the team finished 13th. Sophomore Luke O'Connor and freshman Rebecca Frankel sailed in the A division, while sophomore Ben Lamont and freshmen Mary Finlayson and Emma Smith competed in the B division. Harvard also competed at the Ted Ferrarone Team Race where the team went 11-9.

O'Connor and Frankel tallied two top-10 finishes, including first place in the first race. The tandem came in 13th in the A division with 93 points. The trio in the B division recorded three top-10 finishes in the eight races and tallied 82 points and 11th place. Boston University took top honors in the regatta as Salve Regina and Tufts finished close behind. 

At the Ted Ferrarone Team Race, Harvard went 4-3 on day one defeating Dartmouth, Navy, Stanford and USF in the first round. In the second, Havard compiled a 2-5 record, downing Roger Williams and Dartmouth. The Crimson ended the regatta with an 11-9 record and was second in the Silver group.

Harvard will next compete in three regattas, sailing at the Central Series, Friis/Marchiando Team Race and President's Trophy. All three regattas will take place April 7-8.
