Stokes Selected as NEISA Coed Sailor of the Week
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior John Stokes of the Harvard coed sailing team has been selected by the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association as the Coed Sailor of the Week.
Stokes led the Crimson to a first-place finish at the Southern New England Team Race over the weekend. The regatta featured 16 of the best sailing squads in New England. Stokes helped Harvard in almost every facet of the event, serving as skipper, crew and emotional leader, while guiding the Crimson to a 7-0 record on the first day and a 14-1 overall record to edge Roger Williams for the victory.
Stokes has been a part of two Harvard victories this season, serving as a crew in the Crimson’s season-opening win at the Sharpe Trophy.
