Harvard Takes Eighth at Coed ACC Regatta; Women Place 14th

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—The Harvard sailing team wrapped up its fall season by placing eighth at the Atlantic Coast Championship on the Charles River and 14th at the Women’s Atlantic Coast Championship at Brown.

Juniors Alan Palmer and Grace Charles led Harvard with a fifth-place finish in the A division at the ACC coed regatta. The duo compiled 71 points in 10 races. They won one race and placed second once. They totaled six top-six finishes and placed outside the top half of the 18-school field just twice.

Junior Tedd Himler and sophomore Annie DeAngelo posted a win and a third-place finish while placing 11th in the B division with 97 points. Harvard’s total of 168 points was nine more than seventh-place Vermont and eight fewer than ninth-place Roger Williams. Boston College won with 99 points.

On the women’s side, the Crimson was led by sophomores Emily Lambert and Alexandra Jumper, who placed 11th in the A division. They had 83 points, with one runner-up finish, in eight races. Senior Liz Powers and sophomore Marie Appel placed 14th in the B division, as Harvard totaled 176 points. BC won with 107.
