Archer, Hodge Receive NWPC Weekly Honors

Archer and Hodge have been named NWPC Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Harvard men's water polo first-year Kaleb Archer and sophomore Noah Hodge have been named NWPC Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, the league announced today, Nov. 12.

Archer, who recorded four goals, one assist, and one steal over two matches of play, earned the first weekly honor of his Harvard career. The Clovis, Calif., native tallied his seventh hat trick of the season on Nov. 10 against MIT.

Hodge recorded 17 saves, one assist, and one steal over two matches to earn his fourth Defensive Player of the Week nod. This is the second week in a row that Hodge has been given the award. The San Juan Capistrano, Calif., native currently has 218 saves, third all-time in the Harvard single-season record book.

The Crimson begin the post-season on Saturday, Nov. 23, with the NWPC Championships at MIT. Top-seeded Harvard (27-0, 10-0 NWPC) will play the winner of the MIT vs. St. Francis (N.Y.) matchup at 3 p.m.
