BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – First-year goalie Nathan Wu has been named NWPC Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week the league announced today, Oct. 28. This is the first time that Wu has received a weekly award.
The San Diego, Calif. native played in all four matches for the Crimson at the Julian Frasier Memorial, Oct. 25-27, helping lead the team to a 22-0 record. Wu had a total of 48 saves, two assists and three steals during tournament play, including three blocked penalty shots. Against Chapman, Wu played a career-game, tallying 15 saves, two assists and three steals.
The Crimson will be back in action against Iona, Princeton and No. 18 St. Francis (N.Y.), Nov. 2-3, at Blodgett Pool.
