CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's water polo's Dennis Blyashov earned his third Northeast Water Polo weekly honor as Rookie of the Week. The freshman previously won the award on Sept. 21 and Sept. 6. Senior captain Colin Chiapello was named to this week's honor roll for Player of the Week, and sophomore goalkeeper Nikhil Suri was named to the honor roll for Defensive Player of the Week.
Blyashov has tallied 36 goals this season through 13 games, including notching 15 goals this past weekend in three contests. He earned seven goals alone in Harvard's 13-9 win at Iona.
Chiapello has been a consistent force on offense for the Crimson, having secured 19 goals so far this season and 10 saves. Suri, who played in both the Iona and St. Francis (N.Y.) games this past weekend for the Crimson, totaled 17 saves. He made 11 saves at Iona and six at St. Francis (N.Y.).
Harvard hosts Brown this Saturday at Blodgett Pool at 10 a.m. The game will air on the Ivy League Network and ESPN3. The Crimson will then travel to MIT for a Saturday night contest at 8 p.m.
