"This is a great professional growth opportunity for me to watch and learn from U.S. head coach Dejan Udovicic as he develops and readies his team for the World Championships," commented Minnis.

The Americans will open play in Group D with Japan, Croatia and Russia. The U.S. plays its first game July 17 against the Croatians, followed by Japan on July 19 and Russia on July 21.
