BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Senior captain Joey Colton has been named the Northeast Water Polo Conference Player of the Week after a stellar weekend at the Princeton Invitational. Colton was instrumental in Harvard's 3-0 record at the tournament, leading the Crimson with 10 assists while adding five goals.

Colton recorded four-plus points in all three matches at the Princeton Invitational as the Crimson rolled to wins over then-No. 15 Air Force, No. 13 UC San Diego and Fordham. Colton has now registered multiple assists in five contests and leads Harvard with 18 assists this season.

The senior captain collected six points against Air Force, leading Harvard with four assists and scoring twice. With the game knotted at 12-12 in sudden-death overtime, Colton found junior Colin Chiapello for the game-winner to secure the victory for the Crimson. He then totaled two goals and two helpers against UC San Diego before tallying four more assists and a score against Fordham.

Harvard sophomore Anthony Ridgley and freshman Austin Sechrest also earned weekly award honorable mentions. Ridgley made the honor roll for Defensive Player of the Week, while Sechrest was recognized on the honor roll for Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Harvard returns to the pool Sept. 17-18 for the Bison Invitational at Bucknell with matches against Wagner, Salem International, Navy and Washington & Jefferson.
