Harrison Wins Inaugural Northeast Water Polo Conference Player of the Week Award

Harrison netted hat tricks in three of the four games this week for Harvard (Gil Talbot).

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – Senior Noah Harrison has been selected as the first-ever Northeast Water Polo Conference Player of the Week after helping lead Harvard to a 3-1 weekend at the Bruno Classic, hosted by Brown University. Harrison registered 12 goals, four assists, four steals and three field blocks during the four-game stretch.

Harrison scored in all four games during the Bruno Classic as the Crimson defeated No. 10 UC Davis, No. 16 Johns Hopkins and Wagner over the weekend. Harrison totaled a hat trick in all three wins, including four-goal performances against UC Davis and Wagner. The senior standout also tallied an assist in every contest for 16 total points in the opening week. 

Harrison earned his eighth Collegiate Water Polo Association Northern Division weekly honor, previously claiming a Rookie of the Week and six Player of the Week awards. 

Along with Harrison, Harvard freshmen Nikhil Suri and Austin Sechrest were also recognized for their performances last week. Suri earned honorable mention as the Defensive Player of the Week after totaling 25 saves in three appearances, while Sechrest led the Crimson with seven steals to earn honorable mention as Rookie of the Week.

Harvard water polo returns to action at the Princeton Invitational on September 10-11 with matches against Air Force, UC San Diego and Fordham.
