Men’s Volleyball Competes Against Ball St., Purdue Fort Wayne in Weekend Matchups

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's volleyball is back in Cambridge for a pair of matchups on Friday, Feb. 1 against Ball State and Saturday, Feb. 2 against Purdue Fort Wayne. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.

What to Know
- First-year Eric Li led Harvard to its first EIVA win of the season, finishing the match with 15 kills and seven digs.
- Junior setter Matthew Ctvrtlik tallied his fourth match of 30 or more assists.
- Ctvrtlik is third in the EIVA with 152 assists.
- Both Harvard liberos, Jack Connolly (2.17) and Jason Shen (2.13), are in the top five in digs per set. 

At the Helm
Head coach Brian Baise enters his 11th season at the helm of the Harvard men's volleyball program this weekend. Baise owns a 124-109 record on the sidelines, including a 100-72 record over the past seven seasons. Last year, he led the Crimson to its first-ever EIVA Tournament championship and NCAA Men's Volleyball Tournament appearance.

The Crimson hits the road for a pair of road matches in Pennsylvania, first against Penn State on Friday, Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. and followed by a contest against Saint Francis (PA) on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 3 p.m.
