Moore Claims EIVA Defensive Player of the Week Honors

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Senior middle blocker Riley Moore has been selected as this week's EIVA Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

The Santa Monica, Calif. native led the Crimson to two victories last weekend over Sacred Heart and Alderson Broaddus. The senior co-captain recorded 10 total blocks in seven sets over the course of the two matches. First tallying three in a 3-1 win against the Pioneers, Moore followed with seven blocks, his second-most in a match this season, as Harvard swept the Battlers. Moore currently ranks fifth in the EIVA in block assists at 53 and sixth in total blocks at 57.

Harvard sits in third place in the EIVA as of March 26 at 6-2 in conference play and 7-11 overall. The Crimson will return to action this weekend, March 30-31, hosting Saint Francis (Pa.) and Penn State in two league matches. Both contests are slated to begin at 7 p.m.
