CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's volleyball team released its 2018 schedule on Friday, which includes 10 home matches at the Malkin Athletic Center that will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.
The Crimson officially begins its winter campaign on the road against Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne on Jan. 19 and Ball State on Jan. 20. After a stop at home on Jan. 29 to host Springfield, Harvard faces Sacred Heart on Feb. 3 in Fairfield, Conn.
Harvard returns home for one match against Long Beach State on Feb. 8, before hitting the road again for a six-match stretch. After traveling to Springfield for the Morgan Classic from Feb. 9-10, the men will play Penn State (Feb. 16), St. Francis (PA) (Feb. 17), Princeton (Feb. 23) and NJIT (Feb. 24).
The team will see action at home in a set of back-to-back matches against Charleston on March 2 and 3. The Crimson will then travel to California for a three-day weekend of matches, including competition against California State University Northridge (March 10), University of Southern California (March 11) and Concordia Irvine (March 12).
Harvard will host its next six matches beginning with Sacred Heart on March 23. The Crimson quickly returns to action the next day against Alderson Broaddus. The following weekend, the team will host St. Francis (PA) and Penn State on March 30 and 31, respectively. Closing out its home stretch, the Crimson will face Ivy League opponent Princeton on April 6 and NJIT on April 7.
The Crimson will close out the regular season with back-to-back matches at George Mason on April 13 and 14.
The EIVA Semifinals and Finals will be hosted by the top seeded school on April 19 and 21.
