CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's volleyball team will add two incoming freshman to its lineup for the 2014 season, head coach Brian Baise announced Thursday. Setter Nick Bendell hails from Illinois and earned three All-Southeast Suburban conference honors during his tenure while outside hitter Casey White, who calls California home, joins the squad after winning a state championship.
The duo will join the Crimson after a successful 2013 campaign that saw Harvard make its first appearance in the EIVA championship match, defeat Penn State during the regular season for the first time in school history and finish the year 18-9 overall,10-4 in the EIVA. The Class of 2017 will take the court with 11 returning players that achieved Harvard's highest-ever national ranking, No.14, in the AVCA Division I-II Poll from Feb. 25 to March 4.
