Four Men’s Tennis Players Receive ITA Rankings

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Robert Wrzesinski and doubles pairs Logan Weber and Andy Zhou as well as Weber and Brian Shi received ITA Rankings, as announced today by the organization.

Previously unranked, Wrzesinski enters the rankings for the first time in his collegiate career at No. 71. The sophomore is currently undefeated in the No. 2 spot for the Crimson. Earlier this season in a bout with Alabama, Wrzesinski took down the former ITA No. 41 singles player, Patrick Kaukovalta, 0-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Doubles pair Logan Weber and Andy Zhou received a No. 53 ranking and currently boast a 4-2 record for Harvard, earning wins over Auburn, Penn State and Boston University. Following an impressive victory over previously No. 1 Constant De La Bassetiere and Gabriel Nemeth from Penn State, Weber and Zhou move into the rankings for the first time this season. Weber also joins doubles partner Brian Shi at No. 55 in the ITA doubles rankings after closing out the fall tournament run with a 6-4 record.

The Crimson returns to action this weekend, taking on Northwestern on Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. (12 p.m. CST) and Western Michigan on Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. (12 p.m. CST).
