CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In its final tournament prior to the ITA Regional Championships, the Harvard men's tennis team hosted Boston University and Tufts in the Octoberfest Invitational at Beren Tennis Center Saturday, Oct. 7. All members of the Crimson team went undefeated in both singles and doubles play this weekend.
Juniors Andy Zhou and Andrew Ball, sophomore Galen Lee and senior Xavier Gonzalez competed for the Crimson, sweeping the competition by winning six of six match ups, including two doubles wins and four singles wins.
Zhou moves to 3-0 in singles play and 4-0 in doubles play this fall, while Ball extends his record to 2-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles. Lee improves to 3-2 in singles and 4-3 in doubles, while Gonzalez moves to 2-1 in singles and 1-0 in doubles.
Harvard will send select student-athletes to the ITA Regional Championships in New Haven, Connecticut beginning on Thursday Oct. 19 and concluding on Tuesday, Oct. 24.
