Men's Tennis Takes Fifth Straight Match, Beats Brown 6-1

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's tennis team (14-8, 2-0 Ivy League) earned its fifth straight dual match victory with a 6-1 win over Brown (11-6, 0-2 Ivy League) at the Murr Center Tennis Courts. The Crimson clinched the doubles point for the 10th time in the last 11 matches, as Harvard's No. 1 and No. 3 pairs – Brian Yeung/Kenny Tao and Christopher Morrow/Logan Weber - continued their great start to the season.

Morrow and Weber won their ninth straight match and improved to 15-3 overall with a 6-3 win over Brown's Jack Haworth and Jacob Walker. Yeung and Tao, ranked 60th in the nation, improved to 14-5 on the season with a 6-2 win in the No. 1 spot over Brown's Gregory Garcia and Lucas Da Silviera.

In singles play, Tao made quick work of Peter Tarwid in the No. 1 spot, earning a straight sets win – 6-2, 6-2. Yeung also picked up his second win of the day in singles, winning at No. 3 against Da Silviera – 6-4, 6-0. Andy Zhou clinched the dual match for Harvard with another straight sets win at No. 4 – 6-2, 6-3 against Aaron Sandberg.

Morrow won at No. 5 singles against Peter Litsky, 6-0, 7-6 (4) and Samuel Beren won in the No. 6 spot, 6-1, 2-6, (7-2), taking quick control of the third set tiebreaker.

Harvard will continue Ivy League play this weekend at Yale on Sunday in a dual match set to begin at 2 p.m..
