
PHILADELPHIA – Harvard men's tennis (8-4) finished third at the ECAC Championships Sunday morning, besting host Penn (3-6) by a 5-2 margin at Hecht Tennis Center.
The Crimson won the doubles point, as Kelvin Lam and Conor Haughey breezed past Vim De Alwis and Willenborg, 6-3. Sebastian Beltrame and Kenny Tao edged out Thomas Spratt and Matt Nardella (7-6 (3)) to secure the point.
Senior captain Nicky Hu defeated Kyle Mautner in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, and at the No. 5 position, freshman Andy Zhou also won handily, 6-3, 6-2. Kenny Tao earned a three-set win (7-5, 4-6, 6-3) and Kelvin Lam won his seventh-straight to secure the 5-2 victory.
Harvard will be back in Cambridge Feb. 26-28 to host St. John's, Northwestern and Bryant.
