Men’s Tennis to Host UTR Boston Open

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis will host the UTR Boston Open Sept. 10-13 at the Beren Tennis Center, kicking off the 2015-16 slate.

The event will be the largest singles prize money open event in New England.  The winner will take home $1500 and the runner-up will make $700 (semifinalists $250 and the quarterfinalists $75).  The showcase will feature current and former ATP pros, college stars and local junior players. 

The tournament will feature no-ad scoring and a third set match tie-breaker (except for the finals). The qualifying event will start on Thursday evening with the main draw matches beginning on Friday afternoon.  The top four seeds will be given byes and start on Saturday. 

The Crimson is coming off its fourth-straight trip to the NCAA tournament in 2015 after finishing 19-8 overall.
