Nguyen Chosen for Individual Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis senior captain Denis Nguyen was selected to participate in the 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Singles Championships and Nguyen and sophomore Brian Yeung made the 32-team doubles draw the NCAA announced.

The tournament takes place May 20-25 in Waco, Texas following the conclusion of the NCAA Team Championships.

Nguyen, an at-large selection, was a unanimous selection to the All-Ivy League first team on singles, as well as a doubles honoree. The duo of Nguyen and Yeung earned the highest ranking in the region to hold a spot in the doubles draw.

Nguyen completed the dual season at 11-9 from the No. 1 position. For the year, the Anaheim, California product was 17-13, helping the Crimson to an ECAC title and a NCAA championships bid.

Yeung and Nguyen paired to hold a 19-8 overall record, including a 12-7 mark in dual action.

The Crimson now turns its attention to the NCAA team tournament, where Harvard will take on Northwestern May 8 at 2 p.m. in a first-round matchup at the Oklahoma Regional.
