CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis will head to Flushing Meadows, New York to compete in the International Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional Championships this weekend. The tournament is hosted by St. John's and will run from Thursday, Oct. 16 through Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Last Time Out
Senior Denis Nguyen won two matches to advance to the round of 16 in a competitive field at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Case Tennis Center. The week-long tournament brought together the top-64 college tennis players in the country.
Wins in Napa
Harvard went 10-2 in singles play at the Porsche Napa Valley Classic, competing against some of the best teams in the country including Stanford, Cal, UNC, Tulsa and Texas. Both sophomore Sebastian Beltrame and junior Nicky Hu won their respective round robin flights by going 3-0 in singles play and earned spots in the Solinco Wild Card Shoot Out. Senior Denis Nguyen went 2-1 in one of the top singles flight and freshman Kenny Tao also finished 2-1 with wins over Stanford and the USTA Junior National Team.
The Crimson is coming off an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, as Denis Nguyen became Harvard's first All-American since 2005 with a semifinals appearance in the men's singles draw.
On the Sidelines
David Fish, the Scott Mead '77 Family Head Coach for Harvard Men's Tennis, enters his 39th season with the Crimson after coaching the men's tennis team to an 18-7 record last season and leading the Crimson to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the third-straight season.
The Crimson will spend Halloween at the UTR Metro Open in Cambridge, Mass.
