Men's Tennis Returns Home to Tackle Two Non-Conference Foes

The Particulars:
Harvard returns to its home soil to play a pair of non-conference matches. The Crimson will take on Boston College, Feb. 26, and St. John’s, Feb. 27.

About Harvard:
The Crimson enters today’s match with an overall record of 4-4. Harvard is led by freshman Andy Nguyen with 14 singles wins. Nguyen has also partnered with sophomore Alistair Felton to win 15 doubles matches this season.

About Boston College:
The Eagles are 3-5 entering the match. Senior Thomas Nolan and junior Erik Kreutzer are ranked No. 21 in the ITA national doubles poll while sophomore Akash Muppidi is No. 76 in the singles rankings.

About St. John’s:
The Red Storm comes into the contest with a 2-3 record after beginning the season with wins over Bucknell and Fairleigh Dickinson. Stefan Bojic leads the team with four wins at the top singles spot while Martin Kosut and Derek Wallensteen have teamed up to post four victories at the No. 3 doubles slot.

Last Time Out:
Harvard dropped a 4-3 decision to Purdue and a 6-1 decision to No. 50 Indiana. Nguyen picked up two singles wins over the weekend while junior Alexei Chijoff-Evans earned a victory against Purdue.

10-Win Club:
Three players have amassed 10 singles wins this season. Nguyen leads with 14 while Felton has posted 11. Chijoff-Evans recorded his 10th win of the year, earning a victory at the top spot against Purdue. Felton and Nguyen have also partnered to win 15 doubles matches.
