Top-Ranked Men’s Squash Ends Regular Season in Perfection, Defeating No. 20 Brown, 9-0

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The top-ranked men's squash team (12-0, 6-0 Ivy) finished the regular season undefeated after taking down No. 20 Brown, 9-0.

The Crimson won 26 of the 27 games played, including 3-0 victories by the top-eight. Harvard was led by first-year Victor Crouin who defeated Grant Sterman, 11-1, 11-5, 11-1. Classmate Marwan Tarek served as the team's No. 2, taking down Andrew Wei, 11-6, 11-4, 11-7. Sophomore Samuel Scherl rounded out the top-three with an 11-5, 11-9, 11-2 victory against Declan McCarthy.

With the victory, Harvard secured the outright Ivy League title and ended the season undefeated for the first time since the 2013-14 campaign.

Harvard Highlights:

  • Harvard extended its all-time series lead against Brown, 29-0.
  • The team's 12-game win streak is the longest since the 2013-14 season. 
  • First-year Marwan Tarek concluded the regular season with an 11-game win streak as the team's No. 2.

The team will begin preparations for the College Squash Association's Team National Championships at Trinity, beginning on Feb. 15 through Feb. 17.
