CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The No. 6 Harvard men's squash team was tested from top-to-bottom against No. 10 Penn, but the Crimson held its ground and captured an 8-1 victory. The win improves Harvard's record to 7-2, 3-1 in the Ivy League.

Freshman Gary Power lost the first set of the No. 1 match, but recovered and took the next three, winning 10-12, 11-6, 11-8, 12-10. J. Reed Endresen also needed four sets, including overtime in the third, to take down Danny Greenberg in the No. 2 match, 9-11, 11-7, 16-14, 11-9.

Three Crimson withstood valiant Penn efforts and secured victories in five-set thrillers. Richard Hill, playing in the No. 3 spot, dropped the first two sets of his match against James Clark before storming back to win the next three. Brandon McLaughlin, competing in the No. 4 spot, lost the second and fourth sets but took the match-winning fifth, 11-2. Alexander Ma replicated Hill's comeback efforts in the No. 8 match. After losing the first two sets to John Dudzik, Ma found his winning touch and claimed the last three sets.

Thomas Mullaney registered Harvard's only sweep of the match, defeating Daniel Judd, 11-7, 11-4, 11-5.

Harvard is back on the courts tomorrow against Ancient Eight rival Princeton.
