Harvard to Begin National Search for Men’s Soccer Head Coach

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Pieter Lehrer, The Virginia B. and James O. Welch '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer, will not be returning for the 2020 season, Bob Scalise, The John D. Nichols '53 Family Director of Athletics, announced Monday. Lehrer guided the men's soccer program for seven seasons. 

A national search for a successor will be conducted. 

Harvard men's soccer has won 13 Ivy League championships and has advanced to the NCAA tournament 16 times, reaching the national semifinals four times (1969, 1971, 1986 and 1987).
