PROVIDENCE, R.I. – In a match that was contested tightly wire to wire, the Harvard men's soccer team (0-4-0) was clipped by Providence (4-2-0) on Monday night at Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.

First years Oskar Nilsson and Duncan Sutherland made their career debuts while Sutherland, Cornelius Bencsik and Asa Silverman all put shots on target during the game. Nilsson recorded six saves between the posts through all 90 minutes of play.

The Friars needed just one strike in the 21st minute to take the game. After going one on one with Providence, Nilsson made the initial save but the ball bounced wide where the Friars were able to reset out front and beat the first year over his shoulder.
