CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's soccer team will travel to Hempstead, N.Y. this Sunday to face Hofstra in a non-conference matchup. Start time is set for 1 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on Pride Productions.
What to Know
- Harvard has put 10 of 14 (.714) shots on target in the first three games while opponents have only managed to get 21of 47 (.447) attempts on net.
- Freshman Håvard Hjermstad recorded three shots in Thursday's game and now leads the team in total shots.
- Cesar Farias Jr. has put 100 percent of his shots on target in the opening games of the season.
- Matt Freese and Jorma Görns have combined for 15 saves.
At the Helm
Pieter Lehrer, The Virginia B. and James O. Welch Jr. '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer, enters his sixth season at the helm of the Crimson in 2018. Prior to the 2018 season, Lehrer has amassed a 39-31-12 overall record while going 19-9-5 in Ivy League play and has led Harvard to a top three conference finish in three of the last five seasons.
Coming up on the slate for the Crimson is a trip west, to Colorado, for a pair of matchups against No. 6 Denver and Air Force. Games are set for Sept. 14 and 16 with start times of 9 p.m. and 1 p.m. EST, respectively.
