The senior is the third Harvard player to win the honor in 2015 (Penny Ashford).
PRINCETON, N.J. – Andrew Chang of the Harvard men's soccer team has been named the Ivy League Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Chang tallied the game-winning goal for the Crimson in a 1-0 shutout of Brown to help Harvard improve to 3-0-0 in Ivy League play. The senior took a cross from classmate Michael Innocenzi at the top of the 18-yard box, and buried a volley into the lower left corner. His first goal of the year, Chang's strike helped Harvard get off to its best start in Ivy play since 2008.
Harvard men's soccer travels to Pittsburgh for a midweek clash at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20 on ESPN3 before resuming Ivy League play on Saturday, Oct. 24 against Princeton. The latter contest will be broadcast live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
