Harvard and Haiti played before 11,513 fans at Harvard Stadium Sunday afternoon (Penny Ashford).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Harvard men's soccer team hosted Haiti Sunday night before a crowd of 11,513 in a fundraiser to benefit Partners in Health relief efforts in Haiti.
The game, entitled Haiti Leve, raised money for this worthy cause through ticket sales and donations, with all the proceeds going to Partners in Health.
The teams played to a 0-0 tie after 90 minutes of regulation, and Haiti went on to win in penalty kicks, 4-1. The entire event was featured in the Boston Globe Tuesday. The complete article can be read here.
