2019 Schedule

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's lacrosse head coach Chris Wojcik announced today his squad's 2019 schedule. The Crimson will play a 13-game regular-season schedule with six taking place in Cambridge at Harvard Stadium.

"We are excited to announce our 2019 schedule," Wojcik said. "Our out-of-conference schedule will be challenging as we play teams from five other conferences. The non-league games will prepare us for the Ivy League schedule and a competitive slate of games. The team has completed our fall season and we look forward to beginning preparations in the new year."

Once the new year arrives, Harvard will be working toward the season opener on Feb. 16, at perennial NCAA tournament participant, North Carolina. The Tar Heels, who have won five national championships, have earned an NCAA berth in 11 of the last 12 seasons and will play host to the Crimson at noon.

Harvard begins its home slate against in-state foe, Massachusetts, on Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. The game against the 2018 CAA tournament champions and NCAA qualifiers precedes a two-game road trip to Holy Cross (Feb. 26; 4 p.m.) and Hartford (March 2, 11 a.m.).

A 1 p.m. home contest vs. Providence on March 9, breaks up a stretch where Harvard is scheduled to play five of six games on the road. After its date with the Friars, the Crimson will open Ivy League action at Brown (March 16; 4 p.m.), followed by a night tilt at Boston University on March 19 (7 p.m.). An Ivy clash on March 23 (2 p.m.), at Dartmouth, closes the challenging stretch.

The schedule flips for the Crimson after its trip to Hanover, N.H., with four of its last five games at home. First up is a visit from Albany, the reigning America East champions and 2018 NCAA semifinalist, on March 27 at 7 p.m. The slate does not get easier with last year's NCAA quarterfinalist, Cornell, coming to Harvard Stadium at noon on April 6. The Crimson's stay in Cambridge ends on April 13, when Penn arrives for a 1 p.m. contest.

Harvard's last road trip is to Princeton on April 20 (1 p.m.), before closing out the regular season at home vs. Yale on April 27. The Senior Day contest against the 2018 national champions is slated for a 3:30 p.m. start.

For the second consecutive season, the Ivy League Men's and Women's Lacrosse Tournament will be held in New York City on the campus of Columbia. The top four teams will earn spots in the tourney with semifinal action set for May 3, and the championship game scheduled for May 5.
