PRINCETON, N.J. – After helping lead Harvard to a win in its conference opener, freshman Bryn Evans of the Harvard men's lacrosse team has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

Evans netted a career-best two goals against the Bears, helping Harvard to its fourth-straight win and a 5-1 overall record. He gave Harvard an early 1-0 lead with an early strike, and added a third quarter goal that pushed the advantage out of reach.

The Mill Valley, California native joins classmate Steve Cuccurullo with the honors, as Cuccurullo won two awards earlier this season.

Harvard men's lacrosse hosts Boston University Tuesday before welcoming Dartmouth on Saturday. The games will be broadcast on NESN and NESNplus, respectively, and the Ivy League Network.
