Matt Ryan will graduate with a degree in Government (Gil Talbot).
NEWTON, Mass. –Harvard men's lacrosse seniors Ryan Norton and Matt Ryan earned New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Academic All-New England team honors, the organization announced.
Members of the team are nominated by head coaches in Divisions I, II and III, and are comprised of student-athletes who have excelled both in the classroom and on the field over the course of their men's lacrosse career.
Forty-two student-athletes from 22 different Division III institutions met the criteria, which required that nominees must have senior standing, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale, and be a significant enough player that he was nominated for at least All-Conference selection.
Norton saw action in 10 games this season, starting in nine. The Great Falls, Virginia native picked up 15 ground balls and caused 12 turnovers over the course of 10 games. Norton also dished out one goal and one assist this season and will graduate with a degree in Economics.
Ryan started in eight of his 11 games played this season. The long-stick midfielder picked up 18 ground balls and caused 14 turnovers over the course of 11 matchups. The Ispwich, Massachusetts native will graduate with a degree in Government.
