CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard first-year goaltender Mitchell Gibson earned ECAC Hockey MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week honors, the conference announced today (Nov. 11).

Making his first career starts for Harvard, Gibson was outstanding, picking up wins against Princeton and No. 15 Quinnipiac this weekend.

In his first career start on Friday night against Princeton, Gibson stopped all 31 shots, recording a shutout in his collegiate debut. He became the first Harvard first-year goaltender to record a shutout in his debut since Tripp Tracy '96 (Nov. 13, 1992 vs. Union, 4-0). On Saturday night, Gibson made 32 saves against Quinnipiac to help Harvard earn the weekend sweep.

Harvard takes on Brown and Yale in its first road contests of the season next weekend (Nov. 15-16) with both contests beginning at 7 p.m. and airing on ESPN+.
