ALBANY, N.Y. – Junior defenseman Reilly Walsh was named to the Preseason All-ECAC Hockey team by the league's coaches, the conference announced today (Sept. 18). In addition, Harvard was picked to finish fourth in league play.

Walsh, a Third Team All-ECAC Hockey selection in 2019, had his best offensive season last year as one of the nation's top puck-moving defensemen. He finished the year with 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 33 games, finishing second in ECAC Hockey with nine power play goals (8th in NCAA), and eighth in the country among blueliners in points per game (.94). A native of Andover, New Hampshire, Walsh helped Harvard's power play thrive last year, as the Crimson finished the year with the No. 2 power play in the nation (28.3%).

In 2018-19, Harvard (19-11-3, 13-7-2 ECAC Hockey) earned its 25th NCAA Tournament bid (eighth among all Division I programs) and made its fifth consecutive trip to Lake Placid and the ECAC semifinals.

The Crimson returns 21 letterwinners and eight of its top 10 scorers from the 2018-19 team. Harvard opens the 2019-20 season at home against Dartmouth on Nov. 1. Tickets are on sale now at GoCrimson.com.
