Junior defenseman Adam Fox was selected to the ECAC Hockey Preseason All-League team.
ALBANY, N.Y. – Junior defenseman Adam Fox was named to the ECAC Hockey Preseason All-League team, the conference announced today (Sept. 18).
Fox earned CCM/AHCA Hockey Division I First Team All-American honors, becoming a two-time All-American – the 12th player in program history to achieve that feat. The Carolina Hurricanes prospect was an All-ECAC Hockey selection and First Team All-Ivy honoree after another fantastic year on Harvard's blue line.
The Jericho, N.Y. native finished the season fifth in the nation in scoring among defensemen, averaging .97 points per game, with 28 points (six goals, 22 assists) in 29 games, including the first hat trick by a Harvard defenseman (Feb. 16 vs. St. Lawrence) since Jan. 28, 2011 (Danny Biega). Fox had 16 points (six goals, 10 assists) in his last nine games to close the season. He won a bronze medal at the IIHF World Junior Championships with Team USA in January before returning to Harvard to finish the season.
The Crimson returns 22 letterwinners from the 2017-18 team that made its fourth consecutive trip to Lake Placid and the ECAC semifinals, becoming the third conference team in the last decade to accomplish that feat.
