CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior forward Ryan Donato earned ECAC Hockey Player of the Week honors, the conference announced today.
Donato was exceptional in three games against Dartmouth this past weekend, helping Harvard win its ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal series against the Big Green with eight points (four goals, four assists) in three contests, including a hat trick in Harvard's series-clinching Game 3 win (4-2) on Sunday night.
Donato recorded his 100th career point in the win, becoming the 32nd player in program history to reach that milestone. On Saturday night, Donato had a goal and three assists to match his career high for points in a game (4). He leads the team with 41 points (26 goals, 15 assists) this season, and leads the nation with an average of .93 goals per game.
Harvard will play No. 3 seed Clarkson in the ECAC Hockey Semifinals at historic Herb Brooks Arena on Friday (March 16) at 7:35 p.m. in Lake Placid, N.Y. The game will be televised on Eleven Sports.
