Donato To Receive Ace Bailey Good Guy Award

Ted Donato, The Robert D. Ziff '88 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Ice Hockey, will receive the Ace Bailey Good Guy Award next Wednesday at the 17th Annual Face Off for Ace

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Ted Donato, The Robert D. Ziff '88 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Ice Hockey, will be honored on March 7 at the 17th Annual Face Off for Ace, an evening to benefit the Ace Bailey Children's Foundation at the Royal Sonesta Hotel.

Donato will receive the Ace Bailey Good Guy Award which is presented annually to an individual who has supported and advanced the game of hockey in a significant way, either on the professional, college, or youth level and who is widely regarded as a truly "Good Guy."

The Ace Bailey Children's Foundation was established in memory of Garnet "Ace" Bailey who was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Ace's friends and family created the Foundation to honor his memory and to perpetuate his deep caring for the happiness of children.

Donato joins three others from Harvard Hockey who have been honored by the Ace Bailey Children's Foundation. Katey Stone, The Landry Family Head Coach for Harvard Women's Hockey, was honored in 2017 and Joe Bertagna, who led the Crimson women's program from 1978-79, received the award in 2016. Former Harvard athletic director and men's hockey head coach Bill Cleary also was honored in 2006.
