CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Sophomore defenseman Adam Fox was named ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.
Fox was outstanding on the blue line in three wins for the Crimson this week. In the Beanpot consolation game last Monday, Fox matched a career high with three assists in a 5-4 overtime victory over Boston College, recording the primary assist on Seb Lloyd's game-winning goal.
On Friday in a 5-0 win against St. Lawrence, Fox recorded his first career hat trick and had a career best four-point night (3G, A). Fox's hat trick was the first by a Harvard defenseman since Danny Biega '13 scored three goals in a 6-2 win over Colgate on Jan. 28, 2011. On Saturday in a 5-2 win against No. 7 Clarkson, Fox added an assist, to finish the week with a team high eight points (3G, 5A) and a plus-1 rating.
Fox leads all Harvard defenseman and is fifth among league blueliners with 20 points (three goals, 17 assists) in 23 games.
