Five NHLers Among 20 Men's Ice Hockey Alumni in Pro Ranks

Alex Biega (Vancouver), Alexander Kerfoot (Colorado), Alex Killorn (Tampa Bay), Dominic Moore (Toronto), and Jimmy Vesey (New York Rangers) will represent Harvard at the highest level of pro hockey.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Leading all Ivy League programs, Harvard men's ice hockey has five players on NHL opening night rosters to start the 2017-18 season. The five NHLers are among 20 former players in the professional ranks to start the season.

Alex Biega (Vancouver), Alexander Kerfoot (Colorado), Alex Killorn (Tampa Bay), Dominic Moore (Toronto), and Jimmy Vesey (New York Rangers) will represent Harvard at the highest level of pro hockey.

Biega is a fourth-year defenseman for the Vancouver Canucks, who has one goal and 10 assists in 94 NHL appearances. Kerfoot, who made his NHL debut last night, is a rookie center for the Colorado Avalanche. Killorn is a sixth-year left wing for the Tampa Bay Lightning, notching 72 goals and 102 assists in 353 NHL games. Moore enters his 13th NHL season, returning to the Toronto Maple Leafs, having compiled 100 goals and 170 assists in 847 NHL contests. Vesey, the 2016 Hobey Baker Award winner, begins his second season with the New York Rangers after notching 16 goals and 11 assists in 80 games last year.
