Fox and Badini Invited to the World Junior Championship Camp

CAMBRIDGE, Mass – Sophomore Adam Fox and freshman Jack Badini from the Harvard men's hockey team have been invited to the annual World Junior Summer Showcase with USA Hockey. The camp is set for July 29 to Aug. 5 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.

A total of 42 American skaters were invited to the four-nation event to showcase and contend for spots on the final roster traveling to the 2018 World Junior Championship, which will be held in Buffalo, New York Dec. 26 - Jan. 5. The other three nations represented in the tournament are Finland, Sweden and Canada.

Fox, who led all NCAA defenseman in scoring as a freshman, is one of the seven returnees from the U.S. team that captured the gold medal at the 2017 WJC. Additionally, Fox was selected to the CCMM/AHCA All-America and ECAC Hockey first teams, and he was awarded ECAC Hockey and Ivy League Rookie of the Year in 2016-17.

A new face to Harvard hockey, Badini will join the Crimson from the Chicago Steel, where he led the team to the USHL Clark Cup championship in 2016-17. The invitation to the U.S. national team camp is Badini's first since representing USA-S17 Team White in 2015-16.

The U.S. players at the World Junior Summer Showcase will be divided into two rosters, which will compete against Team Finland, Team Sweden, and two teams from Canada.
