Men’s Ice Hockey Announces the Class of 2021

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming off a year in which Harvard men's hockey won the ECAC regular season and tournament championships, the Ivy League title, and secured a spot in the Frozen Four, the Crimson has announced eight new freshmen as the class of 2021.

The group of eight represents six different states, is made up of five forwards and three defensemen and brings in additional talent to the reigning conference champions.

Nick Azar | Defense | Grosse Pointe Mich. | University Liggett School
Represented USHL Tri-City Storm in 2016-17 … Played for Surrey Eagles in the British Columbia Hockey League in 2015-2016 … After transferring from Belle Tire U16 in 2013-14, performed in Honeybaked U16 and U18 teams in 2013-2015 … Was ranked as high as No. 146 by ISS hockey prior the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Jack Badini | Forward | Old Greenwich, Conn. | Greenwich High School
Represented Lincoln Stars USHL team in 2014-2016 … Finished his junior career as an assistant captain of the Chicago Steel USHL team in 2016-2017 … Was the leading scorer of the USHL 2017 playoffs … 2017 USHL Clark Cup champion … Named Computer Art Scholastic Silver Key Award in 2015 … Participated in Live Strong as Steel program as a member of Chicago Steel 2016-2017 … Aunt, Stacey, competed in the 1998 Nagano Olympics in freestyle skiing.

Henry Bowlby | Forward | Edina, Minn. | Edina High
Represented the USHL junior league side Lincoln Stars in 2015-2017 … Marked a total of 32 points with 17 goals and 15 assists at Lincoln in 2016-2017 … Played for Edina High for two years prior the juniors producing seven goals and 16 assists.

Represented Cape Cod Whalers as a forward in 2012-2016 … Captained varsity hockey at Dexter in 2015-2016 … Won Coaches Award in 2015-2016 … Elite 8 qualifier in 2012-13 … Small school runner-up in 2013-2014 … Elite 8 Runner-up un 2014-2015 … Travel hockey Massachusetts runner-up in seasons 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 … Honor Roll from freshman to junior year … Made the High Honor Roll senior year … Was named student body president junior year … Vice president of the student body senior year … Father, Ted '91, played hockey for Harvard and is currently the head coach of the men's team … Brother, Ryan '19, enrolled at Harvard and plays for the men's hockey team.
