CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Senior defenseman Clay Anderson has signed a professional contract for the 2017-18 season to join the Aalborg Pirates of Metal Legaen, the top league in Denmark, as announced by the club Thursday.
Anderson has been an integral part of Harvard's defense the last four years, skating in 126 games with a +32. In each of his last two seasons, the Omaha, Nebraska native has scored three goals and dished 12 assists.
Anderson has helped the Crimson to two ECAC Hockey Tournament titles, two Ivy League titles, three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances and a Frozen Four appearance this season.
"He has a strong offensive mindset to the game, but can also shut down the opposing player," said Aalborg head coach Brandon Reid via the team's website. "He is a clever player and he has the opportunity to have a great career in Europe."
