Fox Named Finalist for ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year

ALBANY, N.Y. – Freshman defenseman Adam Fox has been named a finalist for the ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year award, as announced by the conference office Friday, March 10.

Fox is one of three finalists, joined by Princeton's Jackson Cressey and Clarkson's Jake Kielly.

Already named Ivy League Rookie of the Year, Fox has had a tremendous year for the Crimson blue line. His 27 assists lead the team, while his 1.14 points per game mark ranks first among all defensemen in the country and fifth among all freshmen. His 22 points during league games tied for the conference lead among all defensemen. His 19 assists ranked third and he was the only defenseman in the top eight in that category in the league. He won a gold medal at World Juniors with Team USA. He was named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Week Nov. 29.

Fox is the second finalist for a year-end award from ECAC Hockey, joining head coach Ted Donato '91, who was selected as a finalist for the Tim Taylor Coach of the Year Award.

All year-end awards, as well as the All-ECAC Hockey teams will be announced March 17 in conjunction with the playoff semifinals in Lake Placid.
