ALBANY, N.Y. – Harvard senior Tyler Moy and freshman Nathan Krusko have been selected as the ECAC Hockey Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The conference office made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.
Moy had a tremendous week for the Crimson, pacing the offense with seven points. The San Diego, California native dished out a pair of assists, including the primary on the game-winning goal against Boston University in the Beanpot final last Monday. He then went on to pot two goals against both Yale and Brown during Harvard's weekend sweep of its Ivy League foes. The win at Yale secured the Ivy League crown for the Crimson. He had a three-point night Saturday at Brown, tacking on an assist. Moy enters the final weekend of the regular season tied for first on the team in points with 33.
Krusko had a breakout night last Monday in Harvard's Beanpot triumph over the Terriers. Krusko potted a pair of goals and dished out an assist to garner Beanpot MVP accolades. He also had an assist at Brown Saturday while posting a +1 rating against the Bears and Bulldogs. The rookie has eight goals and six assists as a freshman.
Harvard wraps up the regular season at home against Clarkson and St. Lawrence this weekend. Harvard is one point behind Union for the ECAC regular season title and has already secured a first-round bye in the ECAC playoffs.
