Ryan Donato has five goals in his last two games (Gil Talbot).
ALBANY, N.Y. – Harvard sophomore Ryan Donato has been selected as the ECAC Hockey Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
Donato collects the honor after his four-goal outburst in a 6-2 victory against No. 6/6 Union last Friday. The sophomore from Scituate, Massachusetts scored the first two and last two goals against the Dutchmen, marking the first time since November 2009 a Harvard skater has had four goals in a single game.
Donato also scored Monday evening in Harvard's Beanpot title win over No. 4/4 Boston University, helping the Crimson earn its 11th Beanpot title and first since 1993. He leads the team with 16 goals this season.
Harvard will visit Yale and Brown this weekend with the Ivy League title and a first-round bye in the ECAC Playoffs on the line.
