BUFFALO, N.Y. – Freshman defenseman Adam Fox is one of 27 players skating today at HarborCenter in Buffalo, New York, as the U.S. National Team begins training camp for the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Hockey Championship, set for Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Toronto and Montreal.

Fox was announced as one of the 27 camp attendees on Dec. 5. On-ice sessions in Buffalo will commence today and continue through Dec. 20.

The U.S. will then shift to Canada to continue its preparations, including pre-tournament games on Dec. 21 against Switzerland at the Tribute Communities Centre in Oshawa, Ontario, at 7 p.m. and on Dec. 23 in Kingston, Ontario, at Rogers K-Rock Centre against the Czech Republic at 7 p.m.

The final 23-player U.S. roster is expected to be announced by Dec. 24.

NHL Network is the exclusive television home of the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship and will broadcast all Team USA games in the championship live and 23 games in total.

Fox previously played on the international stage, helping Team USA earn bronze at last year's IIHF Under-18 Men's World Championship. Fox was drafted this past summer in the third round by the Calgary Flames after completing an illustrious career with the USNTDP.
