BOSTON – On Monday, May 9, the Friends of Harvard Hockey gathered for a reception at the Harvard Club Downtown to honor the four Hobey Baker Award winners in program history.
Mark Fusco (1983), Scott Fusco (1986), Lane MacDonald (1989) and this year's honoree, Jimmy Vesey, were all recognized for their outstanding contributions to Harvard hockey.
Nearly 50 friends, family, coaches, staff and media members gathered at the Harvard Club Downtown for a celebration Monday evening, highlighting Vesey's accomplishments during his recent Harvard career, while also honoring the lengthy tradition of Harvard hockey.
The Crimson's four Hobey winners is tied for second-most in college hockey with Minnesota and one shy of Minnesota-Duluth's five. It is also one more than Boston College and Boston University, which each have three.
Vesey, along with his family and members of the Friends of Harvard Hockey, will travel to Minneapolis June 2 for the annual Hobey Baker Memorial Award banquet where he will be recognized once again as the top player in college hockey this season, as well as receive his personalized trophy.
