ORLANDO – Senior Brayden Jaw has signed an amateur try-out agreement with the Orlando Solar Bears of the ECHL, as announced by the club late Thursday afternoon.
Jaw, who came to Harvard as a forward and transitioned into a productive defensemen for the Crimson blue line, played in 103 career games and had four goals and 13 points. He dressed in 30 games during his senior year, dishing out six assists and chipping in two goals.
The Vancouver native will join an Orlando squad that has three regular season games remaining, all against the Florida Everblades, the next three nights. Orlando is an affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and the AHL's Marlies.
Jaw is the second Crimson skater to sign a pro deal following the conclusion of the season. Kyle Criscuolo previously signed with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL (Detroit Red Wings affiliate) and suited up in his first game last Saturday.
