Colin Blackwell is one of three Harvard players at Nation
Junior Evaluation Camp (Gil Talbot).
LAKE PLACID, N.Y. – Three members of the 2012-13 Harvard men’s hockey team have been selected to participate in the 2012 U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp August 4-11. Rising sophomore Colin Blackwell joins freshmen Jim Vesey and Brian Hart as Harvard representatives at the camp.
The Crimson trio has already made an impact at the event during intrasquad games this weekend. Blackwell, the second-leading rookie scorer on last year’s Crimson squad, is currently tired for the camp lead in points with four (2g, 2a) in two games. First-year Vesey registered a goal and an assist in two games over the weekend while Hart is still in search of his first point.
Action continues through the upcoming week as the Finnish and Swedish national teams are also on site. Monday will be the final day of split-squad action for the United States, as Team USA will take on Finland twice and Sweden once before the camp concludes Saturday.
