Men’s Golf Announces Four in Class of 2023

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard golf coaches and team members will welcome four first-year student-athletes to the men's team: Ryan Goldfarb, Brian Ma, Adam Xiao and Alex Zhu.

"We are proud that our incoming first years and team members are representative of the academic excellence embodied by Harvard," said the coaching staff. "They each have impressive academic credentials and have been entrusted with other leadership roles. They also continue to demonstrate a passion for volunteerism on special and meaningful causes, which makes us extremely proud."

  • Won the 2017 San Francisco City Golf Championship at age 16; 3rd youngest winner in 103-year tournament history
  • 2nd in the 2017 AJGA Reno / Tahoe Junior at Arrowcreek
  • 2nd in the 2018 AJGA ACDS Junior Championship at San Jose CC
  • Eight Top-10 finishes in AJGA tournaments
  • 2018 Western Catholic Athletic League Golfer of the Year
  • 2018 Western Catholic Athletic League Tournament Medalist at 6 under 66
  • Part of Archbishop Mitty High School's state-winning team in 2017

Adam Xiao | Manhasset, N.Y. | Manhasset

  • Manhasset High School's Varsity Golf Team Captain and 6-year Letter Winner
  • 2018 Champion and 2017 Runner-up in New York State Public High School Golf Championship
  • Won NY State Section 8 Championship (2016, 2017, 2018)
  • Led team to win school's first-ever Long Island Championship (2018)
  • Five AJGA top-three finishes
  • Competed in 2016 US Amateur Championship (Third-youngest in the field)
